Mass Effect: A new video game made exclusively for Microsoft Xbox 360
There is a lot of excitement in the Xbox 360 game blog world. A new game called Mass Effect promises to be a great game to buy this fall if you are a Microsoft Xbox 360 owner.
Mass Effect is for play exclusively on the Microsoft Xbox 360, and Microsoft is marketing the game heavily as part of its holiday lineup of must-have new games. Hailed as a "Revolutionary Action RPG," Mass Effect was an impressive showing at E3 in the RPG category. The game, Mass Effect, is set to debut on November 23 2007, just in time for holiday shopping. Since Mass Effect is still under construction, many of its details are not yet set in stone.
Many companies are involved in the game: currently it is an Electronic Arts franchise, it is being developed by BioWare Corp., and it’s being published by Microsoft Game Studios. Mass Effect is produced by the same company that produced such hits as Knights of the
Mass Effect launches a triology of games that all involve the same storyline. It is a role-playing game involving conflict between artificial intelligence and organic characters. The game gets its name from an important item in the game’s world. Mass effect is akin to gravity or electromagnetism – a physical force that the characters in the game employ through implants. The game is a third-person tactical shooter and has been compared to Rainbow Six. One outstanding characteristic of Mass Effect is its scope, consisting of upwards of thirty planets, each with unique plots, that gamers will have to navigate. Although it is known that the overarching theme of the storyline involves the interaction between artificial life and biological, BioWare is staying secretive about any more details of the storyline, surrounding Mass Effect with an added amount of intrigue.
