Though it"s been all but confirmed many times over, Microsoft announced their incoming Xbox 360 Arcade SKU alongside Sony"s.
A technology web site has released images purporting to show the contents of the rumoured Xbox 360 Arcade bundle.
Retailers in the US are taking pre-orders for a new Xbox 360 Arcade bundle, due for release later this month.
There"s not much else to say other than look at the picture, but you"ll notice that the 360 Arcade"s DVD drive is the same gimpy white as the Core"s, instead of the majestic silver like the Platinum"s.
The rumored Xbox 360 Arcade system looks to be inches away from becoming a reality, according to this fuzzy image snapped at an unnamed retail store.
Photos obtained by GameSpot show that retailers are already erecting displays touting the Core"s long-rumored replacement, the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU.
The picture has revealed that the Xbox 360 Arcade bundle will include 5 Xbox Live Arcade games, including Pac-Man and UNO.
Speaking to The Financial Times, Robbie Back, the head of Microsoft�s Entertainment and Devices division, said the $279 Xbox 360 Arcade will challenge the Wii for the new audience that Nintendo was bringing to gaming.

It seems an unknown retailer is already displaying a store advertisement describing the Xbox 360 Arcade and all its marvelous features. Unless numerous inside sources and leaks have it all wrong, the Xbox 360 Arcade edition will launch on October 23rd for $279. Now a photo of a Xbox 360 Arcade sitting on a Target store shelf appeared on Engadget.

The Xbox 360 Arcade has an HDMI port and comes with a 256MB memory card, wireless controller and a disc containing arcade games like Boom Boom Rocket, Feeding Frenzy, Luxor 2, Pac-Man Championship Demo, and Uno.
